Inner Beauty (A road to success)
Inner Beauty: A Road to Success
Both external looks and internal qualities tend to catch one’s eyes or captivate one’s heart, respectively. If that was not the case, then no one would have judged various individuals in their lives portraying the aforementioned aspects of beauty. But the question is: What makes someone a successful person? Surely, success is something that comes very subjectively in this abstract world of diversity. However, from an objective perspective it is crucial to consider the essence of one’s inner core that basically runs the show on long term basis as opposed to the outer core, which is destined to decay every day.
The idea of not judging a book by its cover is a true manner of assessing someone’s worth. And an individual’s worth consists of various elements or more likely to say the virtues that are essentially desirable to fully reflect the inner splendor of the individual. For example, the strength of character is something that a person builds by undertaking risks that can possibly deliver failures, which should be perceived as various opportunities for that beautiful individual to foster a sense of confidence in not giving up. This sense of urgency and self-esteem eventually enables the individual to face life’s troubles or obstacles with a sense of courage. A courage is surely a substance or a fire that keeps the individual’s inner beauty alive. In fact, a brave and courageous one always tend to be a true winner because it is the most crucial aspect in practicing the other virtues of the human life such as loving oneself, looking people in the eye, never giving up, and most importantly telling the truth (i.e. displaying wisdom).
Since nothing remarkable comes easy, and so does an individual’s inner beauty that involves a sense of mental fitness, which requires practice. It is not wrong to say that the process of stuffing one’s head with all the motivational discourses is clearly futile if that knowledge does not get applied in one’s practical-daily functioning. Moreover, if one does not have a sense of love and passion for himself/herself, then how can he/she will put the efforts into achieving what he/she is capable of becoming or simply portraying personal and/or professional confidence towards his/her dreams. Therefore, it is apparent that the self-faith is the key that tends to beautify an individual’s inner character of strength and wisdom which enables the individual to practice a go-giver mentality rather than a go-getter one. In the society where entitlement attitudes and materialistic atmospheres tend to reside, it seems very evident that a person will fall for uncertain objects of success in this competitive rat-race of human beings. Consequently, the notions of wisdom and mindfulness are essentially important factors in order to fully acquire the aforementioned virtues. As Chanakya Pandit precisely puts it, “virtues shine more when they are present in a wise person like a gem adding to the beauty when embedded in gold.” Furthermore, it is obvious that a person who runs after an uncertain object leaving the certain one ends up gaining nothing. Thus, it is significantly important for an individual to own such an intellect for the development of this inner beauty.
Additionally, it requires the component of pain to rejuvenate or refine the inner element of an individual. In other words, just like how good looks tend to involve an external pain in order to bring out the prettiness of an individual through waxing, facials, and/or physical exercise, similarly, the attainment of inner beauty also involves a sense of psychological or intellectual pain which brings a sense of strength and patience in one’s character. Thus, it can rightly be said that beauty is incomplete without a sense of hurt. In fact, the saying “no pain, no gain” undoubtedly represents this phenomenon in its truest form, whether it is practiced from an external core or an internal one. It is definitely.
important to state that a success without the essence of inner beauty will lack its stability and confidence as both are the byproducts of the inner beauty of the individual. Overall, it is apparent that inner beauty is the road where the rocks of the way are painful experiences which are embraced in a sweet manner, resulting in building the core of an individual’s competence, which helps him/her to effectively manage his/her daily personal and professional struggles of this battle-like life.
It is absolutely true- Adversity brings out the best in you. So we should embrace and face adversity rather than running away from it. And then we will be able to attain true inner beauty
