What is freedom and how can it be maintained
What is the meaning of the word 'Freedom'
Freedom, generally, is having the ability to act or change without constraint. Something is "free" if it can change easily and is not constrained in its present state.
Technically, freedom means 'the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. Freedom is defined as the state of being free, independent, without restrictions, or release from prison. An example of freedom is a bird being let out of a cage.
Basically, freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
The human being craves for freedom, in small acts of human choice, and even in larger spiritual perspectives. Dr. J.S. Anand talks of this human craving when he says:
If you ask me how I feel,
I will say, ‘Trapped’
If you ask me what I want,
I would say: ‘Freedom’.
Concepts of Freedom
Before we discuss the discuss what actually is the concepts of freedom
a). The first concept of liberty is Freedom from the constraints of the society
b). The second one is Freedom to do what we need and want to do
c). The third is Freedom, not just to do when we want, but a freedom to be who we
were meant to be
All of these concepts indicate the kind of freedom that every human being must obtain
What is the difference between Inner freedom and external or physical freedom
Individuals have two types of freedoms that they need to manage: inner freedom, in order to expand who they are, and external freedom, to expand what they do. ... External freedom implies assuming the responsibility to do while being conscious of the actions that need to be done to adapt to the environment.
Freedom is power through which you gather courage to stand on your own
Sometimes the unarmed, but brave, have the greater power. And when real life provides examples of valour, our faith in human nature, in the possibility of virtue, is enhanced.
Freedom should not be mistaken with autonomy . It is more of responsibility and to be lived with respect.
Freedom is (uncountable) the state of being free, of not being imprisoned or enslaved while autonomy is self-government; freedom to act or function independently. The judgment that a person is morally responsible for his/her behaviour involves—at least to a first approximation—attributing certain powers and capacities to that person, and viewing his/her behaviour as arising (in the right way) from the fact that the person has, and has exercised freedom.
Freedom is more of responsibility and to be lived with respect
Responsibility and freedom
If you don’t want to take responsibility, you can’t have freedom either. The two come together or they go together. If you shun responsibility, you have to accept slavery in some way or other.
Freedom allows you to make choices. But even though choices exist, the decision to make the right choices depends on proper understandingof interconnected impact.
Freedom is the ability to make choices and decisions, with support if necessary, according to one's will and preferences. Independence is the ability to perform actions of daily living and participate in society, with support if necessary, according to one's will and preferences.
The decision making process
If you’re struggling to make a decision, you’re in good company. Literature, poetry and pop culture provide plenty of sympathy for your plight. Sadly, while they understand your pain, they don’t always sing you to the correct resolution. When it comes to making a decision, in business or in life, how can you be sure you’re doing the right thing
Rational decision making
The rational decision making model assumes decisions are based on an objective, orderly, structured information gathering and analysis. The model encourages the decision maker to understand the situation, organize and interpret the information, and then take action.
More freedom is utilised for the betterment of the world more freedom everyone gets
•Media freedom has been deteriorating around the world over the past decade.
•In some of the most influential democracies in the world, populist leaders have overseen concerted attempts to throttle the independence of the media sector.
•While the threats to global media freedom are real and concerning in their own right, their impact on the state of democracy is what makes them truly dangerous.
•Experience has shown, however, that press freedom can rebound from even lengthy stints of repression when given the opportunity. The basic desire for democratic liberties, including access to honest and fact-based journalism, can never be extinguished
