How films impact our lives
Cinema can play a very positive role in transforming society in a positive direction
We should begin to introduce everyone to films that open up their minds to competing worldviews, encouraging children to build critical thinking, so that they can cross question. And we can expand our scope, talking about income inequality, the environment, talking about ethnic relations, religious tolerance and compassion. And for women, we can show films in which they were heroes, not victims, and we can tell them how they can navigate the court system, the police system, educating them about their rights, telling them where can they take refuge and get help if they are victims of domestic violence
Many of the towns and villages in these countries had never seen television or social media
Parents in these places are eager for their children to learn. But there’s also a pushback and a blowback with the ideas which we are bringing with us. Some of the villages are reluctant to get their children educated and women to know about their rights. But on the flipside, some villages are very eager to adapt these ideas to educate their children, and to make aware their women about their rights and how they can avail them. Actually it’s the duty of the senior members of the villages to expose the young minds to an alternative worldview and to give the women liberty to get their rights fulfilled through social media
Can cinema cause social change?
While it may not affect sweeping social changes,it has power to tell stories and even plant images in your head. Storytelling is something that existed since times immemorial, and stories have been an extremely important way of delivering thoughts and ideas. History is peppered with examples. You have continuously used imagery from the Bible, the [Bhagavad} Gita, Quran, Ramayana. These were all great stories. Stories get ideas across. The difference between cinema and most of the earlier forms of storytelling is very simple: early forms were a two-step process.
Coming to the facts

Conclusion
A good film is when you sit in this dark hall, and when images play out. What exactly goes in your head, is something that’s never been truly analysed, and that is something worth looking for and studying. After watching a good film a woman came out, she couldn’t talk as she kept sobbing, but she kept saying one thing again and again.
“I need to do something”, “I need to do something”. That’s what a good film can do, which inspires the need to do something. That's what a good film can do, which inspires the need to do something.
